# shz_mat4x4_init_symmetric_skew

Source: https://sh4zam.com/api/matrix/shz_mat4x4_init_symmetric_skew/

```c
SHZ_INLINE void shz_mat4x4_init_symmetric_skew(shz_mat4x4_t* mat, float x, float y, float z) SHZ_NOEXCEPT;
```

Initializes the given matrix to be the symmetric skew of the given 3D vector components.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `mat` | `shz_mat4x4_t *` |  |
| `x` | `float` |  |
| `y` | `float` |  |
| `z` | `float` |  |

## Returns

Nothing (`void`).

## Notes

- This can be useful for batching the cross-product operation against a constant vector. For one-offs, prefer `shz_vec3_cross()`.

## Warnings

- This routine clobbers XMTRX.

## Naming and requirements

- `shz_mat4x4_t` and `shz_mat2x2_t` arguments must be 8-byte aligned. Unaligned data goes through the `float[16]` parameters of the `_unaligned` routines.
