# shz_mat4x4_inverse

Source: https://sh4zam.com/api/matrix/shz_mat4x4_inverse/

```c
void shz_mat4x4_inverse(const shz_mat4x4_t* SHZ_RESTRICT mtrx, shz_mat4x4_t* SHZ_RESTRICT out) SHZ_NOEXCEPT;
```

Computes the inverse of a 4x4 matrix.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `mtrx` | `const shz_mat4x4_t *SHZ_RESTRICT` | Pointer to the 4x4 matrix to invert. |
| `out` | `shz_mat4x4_t *SHZ_RESTRICT` | Pointer to the resulting inverted matrix. |

## Returns

Nothing (`void`).

## Notes

- In-place inversion (mtrx == out) is not supported.

## Warnings

- This routine clobbers XMTRX.

## Naming and requirements

- `shz_mat4x4_t` and `shz_mat2x2_t` arguments must be 8-byte aligned. Unaligned data goes through the `float[16]` parameters of the `_unaligned` routines.
