# shz_mat4x4_set_rotation_quat

Source: https://sh4zam.com/api/matrix/shz_mat4x4_set_rotation_quat/

```c
SHZ_INLINE void shz_mat4x4_set_rotation_quat(shz_mat4x4_t* m, shz_quat_t q) SHZ_NOEXCEPT;
```

Sets just the rotational component of the matrix to the orientation given by a quaternion, keeping the other elements in-tact.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `m` | `shz_mat4x4_t *` |  |
| `q` | `shz_quat_t` |  |

## Returns

Nothing (`void`).

## Naming and requirements

- `shz_mat4x4_t` and `shz_mat2x2_t` arguments must be 8-byte aligned. Unaligned data goes through the `float[16]` parameters of the `_unaligned` routines.
